I am hving a problem with setting up a new HP Officejet 6500 multiprinter. Software sets up fine, but when I get to the point of the instructions telling me to plug in the USB, nothing happens. I tried to detect it with hardware wizard, but that does not 'see' the printer. I tried everything to fix it, even deleting all the files and reinstalling software from scratch.

Same result upon plugging in USB. Cord is good, I know that. Test that the USB port on your computer (that you are plugging into) is working. Do not use a USB HUB.
