I just wrapped up my 30 day free trial of AVT recently; given the temporary reduction in price, I felt it worth considering as well. That said, I could not recommend that we purchase it at this time. I think it sounds great, combining all of those currently separate packages into a single, Autodesk add-on, but feel that Autodesk rushed it to market and has done a poor job of consolidating the various aspects of the UI into any that comes close to being cohesive.
I liked that it added the parking lot layout tools, but we don't do nearly enough of them to justify the price. Especially when you consider how much training time will be needed for all users to become as proficient with it, as they are now with Transoft products, etc. I'd love to see such a product (or small contingent of) be incorporated into the various 'suites' (we use Infrastructure Design Suite here), but even Autodesk acknowledges that it is unlikely in the near future. Thanks for the reply. I was afraid of the typical autodesk let down, much like pressure pipe and that half-way done release. We just watched a webinar and I am working on getting the free trial version to test.
We do industrial manufacturing for various clients some aerospace. So the sweep movements of the planes and trucks are of the most importance to us, especially backing. How did you feel about the sweep movements compared to autoturn? The price quoted to us was 2000 then a 20 month subscription for 500. I believe that is less than Autoturn and then we deal with 3 sub fees. Plus I know we just paid something outrageous, like 500-700, for addition vehicle pack.
Uniblue Powersuite Pro 2013 Portable Download. So price wise I think it is competitive.
Both of your programs came out sometime around 2008/2009. They lasted you five years. Had you not upgraded to Win7 they probably could have lasted you another five years. In circumstances such as yours, faced with possible problems continuing to use WinXP while maintaining a connection to the Internet I would have pulled the plug on my Internet connection and kept right on working. You could work indefinitely into the future with no problem meaning you would not be upgrading AutoTurn or ParkCAD.
Then I would have looked for a different solution to maintain my Internet connectivity. That could have been something as simple as a laptop running Win7 Home Edition. There are so many of these floating around you could have picked up one for cheap. The only downside to this two computer system would have been if you had to exchange drawing files with someone else. In this scenario all it would take is a flash drive and the old 'shoe-leather-express' to transfer the files between the two computers. By the way, will AutoTurn 9 work with AutoCAD 2009?
